'The distribution system got us': A timid stray joins a feral colony, gets rescued by caring humans,

Posted by Sarah Brown

This little sweetheart first appeared at the feral feeding station in late October, running off the moment the door opened. By the next day, she was waiting with the colony but too scared to eat from their bowl, so she got her own little pile. It was immediately clear she wasn't a true feral. She wanted pets, wanted to be picked up, and was heartbreakingly thin. After posting online, calling shelters, and checking for a microchip with no results, it seemed no one was looking for her.

She stayed in the basement for a few days while introductions were prepared. At her first vet visit, she weighed only 6.1 pounds, but she tested negative for everything. Three weeks later, she'd already gained a pound and a half. She let her new hooman clip her nails, brush her fur, and even clean her teeth without fuss, proving she'd definitely been a pet before.

Now she's settling beautifully into the home she chose. She's getting along with the older resident cats, cuddling on the couch, playing under doors, and acting like she's lived there forever. A warm future awaits her.

20 Pics of Cute Cat Coworkers Who’ll Get You Fired for Sleeping on the Job

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Cats sure are a creative bunch. They know how to solve problems in a variety of ways, all the way from incredibly sensitive and well-thought-out, to wild, frenetic and recklessly getting the job done. Which is what makes them such scarily bad work from home companions, for if your job requires you to ignore your cat child's schedule while working from home, then you will be in for quite the series of unfortunate events.

The mildest of which is them using their cuteness to lull you into a deep and sweet sleep as they purr away on your lap. But if that does not work, then they will be more than happy to handle things in different ways, ways that become progressively more clawminal as they develop. So the next time you are upset about having to leave home for work, maybe be just a little thankful too that doing so will not cost you your job…

‘I slowly approached, offered my hand like some kind of discount Dr. Dolittle’: Hopeful candidate la

While there are no shortage of surprises that can happen when you go for a job interview, the surprise that the protagonist of today's story faced when going for their job interview was one that you certainly could not have prepawed for. For while under normal circumstances, this job hopeful might have brought along past examples of their work a portfolio if you will, it would have been less than useless in the trapping of an errant feline that decided it was high time they escaped in the office they had been brought into. Promoting the hiring manager to make a last minute decision to turn their interview's task section into a live game of catch that cat.

Thankfully, the crafty catto was captured swiftly by our heroic job hunter who was rewarded with the position they so sought after. Moral of the story being to travel with cat treats, lest you end up in a situation where your job literally depends upon catching a cat.

'We have one rule - don't let the cats outside': 70-year-old live-in aunt lets the domestic cats out

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

We're not saying we're mad at a person that we've never met, but… yes. Yes, we do. We're very mad at this old lady and her disregard for the cats' well-being. They're not her cats, but she has lived with them for about five years. That's five years filled with feline delight and floofy happiness. You'd expect that after five years of living in a house with cats, the live-in person will develop some kind of cordial relationship with the cats, at least. But, buffleingly enough, not in this case.

When you hear about an old lady, mostly the phrase "sweet old lady" comes to mind. Well, not in this case. We're talking about a 70-year-old live-in aunt for the past five years - who doesn't pay any rent, who never takes care of the bills, and repeatedly breaks the one rule the niece and her boyfriend set - don't let the cats out. But she lets them out all the time. Not "forgot the door open and the cat ran out, oops" sort of rule-breaking. More like "I just let the cat out again, knowingly, consciously, even if you asked me not to many times, for many reasons". Yeah.

Are we mad? Yes, we are. You don't just compromise a cat's safety because you feel like it. Especially if the outside of that specific house you live in is very unfriendly to cats. We think any cat pawrent would agree - if our cat's safety is compromised, we'd do anything in our power to prevent that from happening. Every cat pawrent cares for their cat's safety.

Meowing Monday Memes for the Hardworking Hoomans Dreaming of Becoming Domestic Cats

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

Can you imagine being a cat? A hissing house prince or princess, reigning over your domestic kingdom from the top of your cat tree, or looking outside the borders and ekekeking at these invader birds. Being a cat means you get to nap whenever you want, wherever you want, and nobody's going to tell you anything about it. They'd even take pictures of your magnificence while you snooze, because they adore you so much. As they should. Because you are a cat, and cats need to be worshipped. Daily.

And in a day like this, the play pretend of becoming a cat has some other advantage - cats aren't aware of Mondays. "Monday? Don't know her. Let me plop myself on the nearest pillow and take a nap. I'm unemployed and always will be." That's just one of the many perks of being a cat. But, alas, we are mere hoomans. But cats? Cats will always be cats. And that's exactly why we love them so much. Why we adore them. Why we borderline worship them.

Hey, look at that… you forgot about Monday for a second. Not just as a concept - it's Monday right this very meowing moment. But the talk of cats made you forget for a second, and bask in the thought of floofy feline friends. And that's simply meowgical on a Monday.

Freezing Siamese kitten knocks on person's door, begging to be let inside from the cold: 'I thought

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

Every once in a while, the CDS will manage to surprise us. Truly. And we keep thinking that we have heard it all, that no kitten delivery story could surprise us ever again. We thought that after hearing stories of cats falling through windows into people's houses and straight into their hearts, or stories about people adopting kittens via a Starbucks drive-through, and endless stories of cats just… walking into people's homes and getting adopted without question - we thought that we have seen it all, but alas, we have not.

Apparently, some kitties have learned to knock. Really, we should be saying thank you about that. Maybe it's a good thing for them to learn how to walk. At least that way, they might stop walking directly into our homes without asking for purrmission. They would at least warn us first. They shouldn't worry though. Knocking will not stop us from adopting them right away and with no questions - just like the person in this story has proved.

28 of the Funniest and Freshest Feline Tweets to Fill Your Week With Pawsitivity (December 8, 2025)

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

Another weekend is coming to a close, and goodness, we are so not ready yet. That's fine though. There's still time. We have an entire Sunday ahead of us to focus on the things that matter. And the things that matter… are not being productive, are not spending time with friends and family, are not going out and working out. No, that is all secondary to the things that matter most to our mental health, and those things include a whole lot of cat memes

That is why every single week, we bring you a brand new collection of not just any funny cat memes, but the best cat posts and memes and stories straight from the depths of Twitter. It's a good thing that it takes only a couple minutes to go through a list like this, honestly. That way, once we have the things that actually matter out of the way, we can focus on all those secondary things. Or, we could just look at even more cat memes instead.

23 Pawfect Pictures of Cats Breaking Out Their Coziest Winter Wardrobes

Posted by Sarah Brown

As the cold weather begins to roll in, cats everywhere seem to know it's time for a wardrobe change. Suddenly, the sunlight isn't quite as warm, the floors feel a bit too chilly, and a cozy spot becomes more valuable than catnip. That's when the sweaters come out. The tiny knits, the fleece pullovers, and the hilariously puffy jackets that turn even the most serious cats into soft, fashionable marshmallows.

Some cats embrace their winter attire with pride, strutting around like runway models in miniature wool. Others sit perfectly still, unsure how they ended up wearing a snowflake-patterned sweater but secretly enjoying how warm it feels. And then there are the dramatic types, flopping over like they've lost the ability to walk the moment a hood touches their head.

But whether they love their outfits or simply accept them for the sake of warmth, there's something undeniably wholesome about cats bundled up against the cold. Tiny scarves, little socks, and sleepy eyes peeking out from cozy layers remind us that winter is better when we're wrapped up, snug, and surrounded by comfort.

'Complete miracle. All the way to the end': Couple loses hope of finding their lost cat, until weeks

Posted by Blake Seidel

Losing one of our cats is one of our worst fears. You try to be super-duper careful, leave no doors or windows open, inform visitors of the flight risks, and yet, accidents happen. A door closed, but not all the way, or a stray window left cracked open, and out they go to explore the big, bad world. They don't know how dangerous it is, but we do. So you search, you shake treat bags, you leave your clothes out so they can find you by smell, and you wait. You wait until you can't anymore.

The couple below had given up hope after the very thing happened to them. Their cat jumped off their balcony and decided to go on an adventure. They didn't find their cat for weeks. Until a man found a scared, but well-groomed cat in his workplace weeks later. He took a picture of the cat, reverse-image-searched for it (isn't technology today just so cool??), and found their 'missing cat' posters. He called them to inform them he found their cat, and they were both relieved and shocked. The relief is obvious, but they were shocked to learn that their cat was found 90km, or around 56 miles, away from their house.

They still have no idea how the cat got so far away, but they do know that him being found and returned to them was a complete and total meowracle. Read more of their rescue story below!

'I kind of miss the little destructo goblin': Local animal lover teaches a feral grey kitten how to

Posted by Jesse Kessenheimer

Some humans can bond with a cat almost instantly. For most of us, all it takes is a well-timed purr, a twitching floofy tail, and an adorable little meow to melt our hearts like butter. A local animal lover in this next story never imagined they would be a kitten-guy, but after discovering a sweet, soot-colored fluffball under his porch, he had no choice but to take the kitty in.

With other pets in the house scorning the feline's rampant energy, the man reluctantly fell head over heels for the kitten, teaching it to use the litter box, climb the cat tree, and be a polite house cat. All was gravy until he realized that his neighbor had lost a kitten that looked suspiciously like the one he had found outside. After 3 weeks, and with a heavy heart, he returned the kitten to their rightful owners. Not only was the grey kitten a civilized gentleman, but the animal lover was furrever touched by the feline soul next door.

23 Criminally Cute Memes of Cats Committing Chaos

Posted by Sarah Brown

Cats committing crimes is hilarious because they do it with total confidence and not a hint of shame. One moment the house is calm, and the next there's a plant on the floor and a cat sitting beside it like a proud little felon. They steal food, swipe hair ties, break into cupboards, and knock things over just to watch them fall. It's all part of their daily mischief.

The best part is the attitude. A cat will look you straight in the eyes while pushing a glass off the counter, like it's performing important scientific research. They "accidentally" walk across keyboards, chew on plants they've been told to leave alone, and treat every closed door as a personal challenge. And if you dare call them out, they act deeply offended that you would even question their innocence.

But their little crimes are exactly what makes them so lovable. They bring chaos, comedy, and a surprising amount of joy to the simplest moments. Life is never boring with a tiny troublemaker plotting its next move.
